The new episode of Salon Drip 2, featuring actors Song Joong-ki and Lee Hee-jun, has been postponed in light of the Jeju Air tragedy.
On December 31, production company TEO announced on its official YouTube channel, "The Salon Drip 2 episode featuring Song Joong-ki and Lee Hee-joon, originally scheduled for today, will not air." They added, "The episode will now be released on Tuesday, January 7, at 6 PM. We ask for your understanding and extend our deepest condolences to the victims."
The episode was set to feature the two actors discussing their film Bogota: City of the Lost, but the release was rescheduled as a gesture of mourning for the victims of the recent tragedy.
On December 29, a Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok veered off the runway while attempting to land at Muan International Airport in Mokpo, South Korea. The flight carried 175 passengers and six crew members, totaling 181 people. According to the fire department, 179 passengers were confirmed dead, with two injured. The South Korean government declared a national mourning period until January 4.
Meanwhile, Bogota: City of the Lost tells the story of Guk-hee (Song Joong-ki), who travels to Bogota, Colombia, after the IMF crisis in search of a new life. He becomes entangled with Soo-young (Lee Hee-jun), a powerful figure in the Korean community, and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae-hyo). Directed by Kim Sung-je of Minority Opinion, the film captures their struggles and ambitions.
