Former Wonder Girls member Ahn So-hee has expressed her condolences for the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy.

On January 1, Ahn So-hee posted a tribute on her YouTube channel community. "The news of the Jeju Air tragedy is heartbreaking and weighs heavily on my heart," she wrote.

She offered words of comfort to the bereaved families. "I pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in the accident," she added, "and extend my heartfelt condolences to the families."

Ahn also joined in observing the national mourning period. "I will postpone the video scheduled for this week. Once again, I extend my deepest sympathies," she concluded.

Last year, Ahn So-hee stayed busy with activities on both screen and stage. She took on her first play, Closer, and starred in her debut lead film, Daechi-dong Scandal.

Starting February 8, Ahn will appear in the play The Secret of Flowers, where she plays the role of Monica. She is triple cast alongside Lee Yeon-hee and Gong Seung-yeon, showcasing her beauty even in a disguised male role.

Meanwhile, the government has designated a national mourning period until January 4 to honor the victims of the Jeju Air tragedy, which occurred on December 29, claiming 179 lives and injuring two.

The entertainment industry is also participating. Major broadcast awards ceremonies have been canceled, and programs have been postponed. Singers have delayed concerts, album releases, and content launches to join the collective mourning.
