Actors React to the Introduction of 'Cheolsu' in 'Squid Game' Season 3

On January 2, Netflix Korea's official social media channels released a video titled, "Actors' Reactions to Seeing the Cheolsu Video for the First Time?" The clip featured the cast of Squid Game reacting to spoilers for the highly anticipated Season 3.

The video showcased the responses of Lee Jung-jae, Yim Si-wan, Yang Dong-geun, Lee Seo-hwan, Kang Ae-shim, and Jo Yu-ri as they watched behind-the-scenes footage from Season 2 and caught a glimpse of "Cheolsu," a new character following Younghee's introduction.

Lee Jung-jae remarked with a meaningful smile, "So, Cheolsu is making an appearance." Kang Ae-shim humorously questioned, "Is there something going on between them?" Meanwhile, Yim Si-wan expressed slight disappointment, saying, "Is this all we're getting?"

Lee Jung-jae teased, "Squid Game Season 3 will feature not only new games but also intense clashes between the characters." Yim Si-wan added, "Is Cheolsu the only new face we'll see?" piquing viewers' curiosity further.

Kang Ae-shim hinted at an emotional journey, saying, "I think Season 3 will be a tear-jerker for the audience." Yang Dong-geun commented, "It feels like there's still so much more to show," leaving fans excited about the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Squid Game 2 soared to the top spot in 92 countries upon its release on December 27 last year and reached number one in 93 countries the following day. The series maintained its position as the global number-one show for five consecutive days, proving its massive popularity.

Squid Game 2 follows Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the deadly games seeking revenge, and his intense confrontation with the Frontman (played by Lee Byung-hun), as the games restart with new stakes and challenges.

Netflix has announced that Squid Game Season 3 will be released later this year, raising anticipation among fans worldwide.
