Actor Jinyoung has completed filming for his next project.

On January 7, a representative from Management Run stated, "Jinyoung has finished filming the Taiwanese original movie '1977, That Year, That Photo' (directed by Tang Sheng-yong and Zheng Nei-fang)."

Set in Zhongli, Taiwan, in 1977, the film follows the story of Xian Ying (played by Lin Mo) and a taekwondo coach from Korea, Kim Ho-hee (played by Jinyoung).

It is a romantic period drama depicting the journey of three young people chasing their dreams through the click of a camera shutter and sweat of their hard work during a time of both chaos and hope.

Jinyoung's character, Kim Ho-hee, is a strong and mature figure who leaves Korea behind after experiencing personal pain. He embodies the spirit of the 1970s era, bringing a unique emotional touch to his role.

Jinyoung prepared thoroughly for the role. He stayed in Taiwan for two months, practicing both taekwondo and Mandarin to ensure the film's quality. The movie was filmed in various locations across Taiwan.

Jinyoung shared, "Song Baiyu taught me a lot of Mandarin. We did numerous script readings in advance. Although the language was different, we connected through emotions."

He worked closely with Lin Mo, a Taiwanese actor known to Korean audiences for his roles in Netflix's 'The Victim's Game' and the Busan International Film Festival selection 'Lemongrass on Summer Days.'

Director Zheng Nei-fang revealed, "After filming a scene where Jinyoung and Lin Mo exchange emotions in front of the photo studio, Director Tang Sheng-yong was so moved that he shed tears."

According to Jinyoung's agency, "Jinyoung returned to Korea after completing filming in January. He will continue various activities across Korea and Taiwan, including magazine shoots, fan meetings, and album promotions."

Meanwhile, '1977, That Year, That Photo' is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.
