Actors Park Jung-min and Ji Soo are on the run from hordes of zombies.

On January 7, Coupang Play unveiled the first trailer and a special poster for their upcoming series 'Newtopia.' The show introduces a new zombie-comedy genre, promising a fresh take on traditional zombie stories.

'Newtopia' follows the story of Jaeyoon (played by Park Jung-min), a soldier, and Young-joo (played by Ji Soo), a military girlfriend. The two race across zombie-infested Seoul to reunite with each other. The series presents a witty and lively atmosphere.

The trailer begins on the day Jaeyoon and Young-joo decide to part ways. However, just as their relationship ends, a zombie virus outbreak sweeps across the world. A zombie crashes into Young-joo's car, escalating the chaos.

At the tower where Jaeyoon's unit is stationed, various types of zombies emerge. Despite facing life-threatening situations, Jaeyoon and Young-joo are determined to reach each other no matter what.

The two fight off zombies with flamethrowers, swing golf clubs, and engage in intense action scenes in the middle of Gangnam and inside the tower. The gripping sequences raise curiosity about the full story.

The trailer's classical music score adds both dramatic tension and lighthearted fun. Unique visual effects—like zombie-themed text graphics and eyeballs bouncing across the screen— stand out.

The special poster features illustrations of the characters. Against a pink backdrop,zombie hordes invade Seoul's cityscape, creating a chilling atmosphere as the protagonists prepare to fight back.

Jaeyoon and Young-joo are seen shaking off blood-covered zombie hands and running desperately to survive. They wield unexpected weapons like scrapers and chainsaws, adding intrigue to their fight for survival.

'Newtopia' will premiere on Coupang Play on February 7 at 8 PM KST.
