RlIZE will release the song 'Hug' on major music platforms today at 8 PM. A stage video will also be unveiled simultaneously on their official YouTube channel (SMTOWN).

The track is a reinterpretation of TVXQ's song. The members shared their honest thoughts about the project, saying, "Since it's a legendary song by our respected seniors, TVXQ, we really wanted to do a good job."

RlIZE hinted at showcasing their unique charm with the song. "It's a style of song we've never tried before. When we first heard about the remake, we couldn't imagine how it would turn out," they recalled.

They created a fresh vibe that differs from the original. "We hope listeners can feel RlIZE's unique cuteness," they explained, adding, "We think the youthful vibe is the key point to watch out for."

The members also highlighted a key listening point of the song. "We believe the 'One, two, three, four' part is definitely the killing point," they said with a smile. "We hope many people look forward to the new release."

'Hug' was TVXQ's debut song, released in 2004. The new version was arranged by Park Moon-chi, enhancing its charm. The track features Y2K aesthetics with trendy sounds, delivering a nostalgic yet fresh retro mood.

The song especially captivates listeners with RlIZE's soft a cappella harmonies in the intro. A representative commented, "The refreshing vocals evoke a sense of nostalgia."

SM Entertainment is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, they will release a commemorative album where junior and senior artists reinterpret SM's iconic hits to suit their respective group styles.

Other tracks from the album will be unveiled during the 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' concert, scheduled to be held at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome on January 11-12.
