JYP's rookie boy group KickFlip is gearing up for their debut, drawing attention for their solid teamwork.
On the 9th, the agency released a group introduction video on KickFlip's official social media channels. Members Gye-hoon, Amaru, Dong-hwa, Ju-wang, Min-je, Kei-ju, and Dong-hyun were featured in the clip.
The members reflected on their trainee days. Gye-hoon shared, "We weren't close from the start. But after spending so much time together, it just became natural to have each other by our side."
Amaru recalled their time at the dorm, saying, "We spent all our time together at the dorm. We'd make bets like, 'The loser makes breakfast,' and the most shocking meal was Dong-hyun's ramen risotto."
Even minor setbacks helped strengthen their bond. One such moment came during a monthly evaluation when they struggled with a difficult choreography. Ju-wang said, "I was so nervous that my legs were shaking, and I messed up."
Dong-hwa added, "After that, we practiced even harder. We stayed up late into the night, and when we were done, we'd all go to a nearby restaurant to eat seolleongtang."
Min-je shared his thoughts at the end, saying, "I think we've all endured well to get here. Being with the members makes me excited. I can't wait to show everyone our performance on stage."
Meanwhile, KickFlip is a new seven-member boy group launched by JYP Entertainment. Their name comes from a high-level skateboarding trick that involves flipping the board 360 degrees.
The group's official debut is set for the 20th. On the 6th, they pre-released "Yeah, Sure," a track from their album "Flip It, Kick It," which climbed to No. 3 on YouTube's trending videos in Korea.
