Actor Kim Moo-jun is expanding his global career with a new role in the upcoming Japanese drama Caster.
Second Japanese Drama Following 'Black Pean 2'
On March 5, 9Ato Entertainment confirmed, "Following his appearance in Black Pean 2, Kim Moo-jun has been cast in TBS's new drama Caster. This marks another step in his journey as a global actor."
Caster is set in the newsroom of JBN's 'News Gate', a fictional broadcasting network. The series follows journalists seeking truth in the shadows while delivering justice.
Kim Moo-jun will play Choi Jae-sung, an assistant director (AD) in the newsroom. His character is a Korean student who studied abroad in Japan, allowing him to provide a dual perspective on events unfolding in the show.
Acting Alongside Japan's Biggest Stars
Kim Moo-jun will be sharing the screen with some of Japan's most renowned actors:
- Hiroshi Abe leads the drama as Shindo Soichiro.
- Rising stars Mei Nagano and Shunsuke Michieda also join the cast.
This marks Kim Moo-jun's second Japanese project, following his standout performance as a Korean surgical intern in Black Pean 2 last year.
Kim Moo-jun's Rising Career
Kim gained recognition in Korea for his portrayal of Crown Prince Sohyeon in the hit drama My Dearest. He later appeared in Sorry Today Too and is set to star in SBS's upcoming romantic drama 'Shouldn't Have Kissed!'.
