The legal battle between ADOR and the parents of NewJeans members is escalating, with the first court hearing set for March 7.
⚖️ Legal Clash Over Activity Ban
NewJeans' parents have accused ADOR of seeking to completely block NJZ's entertainment activities, claiming the label expanded its injunction request to ban all performances. They argue this is a retaliation for NewJeans' planned appearance at ComplexCon.
However, ADOR refutes these claims, insisting that the injunction is not about restricting activities but rather ensuring that NewJeans operates under their contractual agreement with ADOR. The company also denies attempting to pressure ComplexCon organizers to block NJZ from performing.
📢 NewJeans Parents' Official Statement
On March 6, NewJeans' parents issued a lengthy statement via NJZ's Instagram, stating:
"ADOR's ultimate goal is to completely shut down NJZ's activities."
They claim ADOR's legal action came right after they heard that HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk allegedly pressured ComplexCon organizers to cancel NJZ's appearance.
They also allege:
- ADOR initially targeted only NJZ's advertising deals but later expanded the injunction to ban all entertainment activities.
- The members have endured continuous discrimination and unfair treatment within HYBE.
- The termination of their exclusive contract was lawfully executed, and they will seek confirmation of its legitimacy in court.

🏛️ ADOR's Response: "This Is Not Retaliation"
ADOR insists its actions are not about restricting NewJeans but about ensuring they honor their contract. The company emphasized:
- The injunction was already in motion before NJZ announced new music and overseas performances.
- ADOR never pressured ComplexCon organizers or engaged in any form of retaliation.
- The company seeks a court ruling affirming its role as NewJeans' legitimate management agency.
"We will clarify all misunderstandings in court," ADOR stated, adding, "There are many people at ADOR waiting for NewJeans."
