The ongoing conflict between KBS and Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM) is intensifying. Following Lee Mujin's absence from Limousine Service, the filming of KBS Joy's Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller (Mureobosal) was also canceled.
❌ Lee Soo-geun's Filming Canceled
On March 7, Ask Us Anything Fortune Tellercanceled its scheduled recording, as BPM's Lee Soo-geun serves as the show's main MC. Both KBS and BPM reportedly felt uneasy about proceeding with the shoot given the ongoing dispute.
The production team clarified:
"It wasn't a last-minute cancellation. Both sides discussed and agreed to reschedule. We are currently coordinating future filming dates with Lee Soo-geun."
🔥 The Root of the Conflict—Xiumin & Music Bank Dispute
BPM (and its subsidiary One Hundred) previously accused KBS of unofficially blocking Xiumin from appearing on Music Bank, allegedly due to KBS favoring SM Entertainment.
According to BPM:
📌 KBS stated that "Xiumin cannot appear on shows featuring other SM artists."
📌 KBS's Entertainment Director has been unresponsive for two weeks regarding BPM artists' participation.
In response, Lee Mujin skipped his Limousine Service recording on March 6, allegedly in protest of this treatment.
📢 KBS Denies the Allegations
KBS firmly denied the claims, with Entertainment Director Han Kyung-chun stating:
"It is not true that BPM was unable to reach me. I had a meeting with One Hundred's senior management just last week regarding casting decisions."
Regarding Lee Mujin, he added:
"I personally admire him and was saddened by his absence. The production team is willing to wait for his return, and we have no plans to replace him."
⚖️ What's Next?
With tensions escalating, the industry is closely watching whether BPM artists—including Xiumin, Lee Mujin, and Lee Soo-geun—will be able to resume their activities on KBS programs.
