Tajo Entertainment released a statement on the 11th, saying, "Due to the unexpected and heartbreaking news, the bereaved family is in deep shock and unable to proceed with the funeral at this moment."
Authorities are currently in discussions with the family regarding an autopsy. The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station has requested the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause and time of death.
A representative stated, "The funeral will proceed when the family is emotionally prepared. It will be a quiet and private ceremony with only close relatives and friends in attendance."
The agency also urged the public to refrain from spreading false rumors, emphasizing, "We sincerely ask for your cooperation. Please respect the grieving family by avoiding speculation and unverified reports."
Wheesung was scheduled to hold a concert in Daegu on the 15th. However, on the afternoon of the 10th, he was found deceased at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. No signs of forced entry or foul play were discovered.
