[Dispatch = Reporter Lee Myung-joo] Actress Kim Hye-ja is set to bring warmth and healing to the small screen.
On the 11th, JTBC's upcoming weekend drama Heavenly Ever After (written by Lee Nam-kyu & Kim Soo-jin, directed by Kim Seok-yoon) dropped its first teaser.
The 1-minute, 7-second clip offers a glimpse into Haesook's (Kim Hye-ja) journey to heaven. She follows a radiant light and arrives at her final destination.
The Heavenly Support Center director (played by Chun Ho-jin) explains, "This is where wounds from life are healed, a place to reflect on one's journey."
Haesook reconnects with people she never thought she'd see again—including her younger mother, bringing her to tears. She also reunites with Young-ae (Lee Jung-eun), someone she left behind with lingering regrets, adding emotional depth to the story.
New encounters await too. She crosses paths with Somi (Han Ji-min) and a pastor (Ryu Deok-hwan), both of whom she meets in heaven, weaving unexpected narratives.
But the biggest surprise? A mind-blowing reunion with her husband, Go Nak-joon (Son Suk-ku). While Haesook remains her 80-year-old self, Nak-joon chooses to appear as his young 30s version—but despite the difference in appearance, their love remains unchanged.
Nak-joon softly tells her, "In heaven, everyone is meant to be happy," as he holds her hand and embarks on a journey to help her find true happiness.
A romance that transcends life itself, Heavenly Ever After is set to premiere next month.
