tvN's new medical drama Resident Playbook (언젠가는 슬기로울 전공의생활) has finally secured a broadcast date after being in limbo for a year.
On March 12, tvN announced,
"Our new Saturday-Sunday drama Resident Playbook (written by Kim Song-hee, directed by Lee Min-soo) will premiere on April 12."
The drama is a spin-off of the hit series Hospital Playlist and follows the growth of OB-GYN residents at Jongno Yulje Hospital as they navigate the challenges of becoming doctors.
📺 A Delayed Premiere Due to Real-Life Controversy
Originally, Resident Playbook was scheduled to air in May 2024 as the follow-up to Queen of Tears.
However, the nationwide medical resident strike significantly impacted public sentiment, delaying the drama's release for nearly a year.
Now, with a confirmed April premiere, anticipation is back on the rise.
