THE BOYZ are back! Ahead of their highly anticipated comeback on March 17, the group shared their thoughts on their 3rd full-length album, UNEXPECTED—their first under their new agency.

Kevin expressed both excitement and nervousness, saying, "We had worries, but above all, we were just excited. The whole process was enjoyable because all the members were so dedicated to the music."

They also showed strong confidence in their new title track, "VVV." Sangyeon teased, "This is our first time trying this genre (retro), and the boxing-themed MV and performance are amazing."

Q1. How does it feel to make your first full-group comeback after changing agencies?

🗣 Sangyeon:This album is special since it's our first under a new label. We worked really hard, so please look forward to it!

🗣 Kevin:There were both worries and excitement, but through the process, I was reassured that all of us truly love making music. Even with a tight schedule, we had fun preparing.

🗣 Sunwoo:New beginnings always bring excitement. It was fun working with people who view us from a fresh perspective.

🗣 Eric:I'm grateful that we can showcase the next chapter of THE BOYZ. We'll work hard to meet expectations!

Q2. What kind of song is "VVV"?

🗣 Sangyeon:This is our first time trying this genre. The boxing concept in the MV and choreography is really cool, and the melody is super catchy.

🗣 Jacob:It's a side of us you've never seen before, but also the side we've been wanting to show. It's a hopeful and energetic song—please enjoy it!

Q3. What's the killing part of "VVV" and any key choreo points?

🗣 Juyeon:Definitely the "WOO" in the chorus! It's easy to sing along, and the choreography stands out.

🗣 Q:The main concept is boxing, so keep an eye out for all the boxing-inspired moves throughout the performance!

Q4. Any memorable moments from the album production?

🗣 Kevin:We shot the album jacket, teasers, and MV between January and March—it was freezing! I remember all of us huddling together like penguins to stay warm while filming outdoors in Incheon.

🗣 Juhaknyeon:The prep time was shorter than expected, so we really had to work intensely every day alongside our staff.

Q5. Why did you decide to release a full album, and did you feel any pressure?

🗣 Sunwoo:We wanted to make another big memory as THE BOYZ. Instead of feeling pressured, we focused on enjoying the process.

🗣 Eric:Rather than pressure, we felt more anticipation. We wanted to give our fans a meaningful album, so we decided on a full-length release.

Q6. Sangyeon, any words for your members before your military enlistment?

🗣 Sangyeon:I'm sad that I won't be able to join music show promotions, but I trust my members will shine and fill in the gaps. Let's go, THE BOYZ!

🗣 Hyunjae:"The Last Youth." You'll understand once you listen to the album.

🗣 New:"Rainbow"—it's a diverse and beautifully blended masterpiece.

🗣 Younghoon:I hope people recognize that THE BOYZ can pull off any concept!

🗣 Juhaknyeon:I want us to be known as the ultimate "fan-loving" group. I hope people say, "THE BOYZ really do everything for their fans!"
