Actor Kim Nam-gil is stepping up once again to support self-reliant youth β not with a one-time donation, but by investing in their future as creators. π¨β¨
On March 25, cultural NGO Gil Story announced the launch of the 'Together On the Road' (ν¨κ»λκΈΈ) Campaign to support young creators preparing for independence. Applications for the 2nd cohort are open until April 9!
π± A Platform for Young Artists to Shine
'Together On the Road' gives self-reliant youth β those aging out of care β a real chance to create and express their artistic talents. Following the success of last year's first campaign, this year's project is bigger and better.
A total of 20 creators will be selected from the arts and culture field, each receiving 3 million KRW in support funds. But that's not all.
π¨ Full Mentoring and Real-World Experience
Selected creators won't just get funding β they'll also connect with industry pros for full creative mentoring throughout their project.
All completed works will be showcased at a year-end exhibition, with this year's theme titled 'Here I Am' β reflecting their voices and stories. The goal? Helping young artists build careers and turn their passion into real-life work.
π¬ Kim Nam-gil's Heartfelt Message
Kim Nam-gil, who leads the campaign, shared his pride:
"Watching our first cohort complete their projects and even perform at a year-end concert proved their amazing potential."
He added, "I truly hope these young creators gain emotional fulfillment through their artistic journey. Please show them your support."
