On March 27, the Korean Red Cross confirmed that SUGA donated ₩100 million, which will be used to provide food, water, and essential supplies to wildfire victims.
🌱 Taeyeon and Seulgi Join In with Warm Messages
Taeyeon also gave ₩100 million, sharing, "I hope this brings strength to the evacuees, firefighters, and relief workers going through such a hard time."
Seulgi followed with her own ₩100 million donation, stating, "I was heartbroken to see people's lives and livelihoods threatened by an unexpected wildfire. I made the decision to give, hoping even a small gesture can help."
🔥 Wildfires Continue to Spread Across Korea
The wildfires began in Sancheong, Gyeongnam on March 21 and have since spread across North Gyeongsang and Ulsan due to dry conditions and high winds. Firefighting efforts are still underway a week later.
As of the latest data from Korea's Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, 26 people have died, with 8 seriously injured and 22 with minor injuries. A total of 37,185 residents have been displaced.
