🎤 Korean Trot Meets J-Pop in Osaka

'The Trot Show IN JAPAN' was held on March 10 at Grand Cube Osaka, with two back-to-back shows in one day. The lineup brought together major Korean trot stars and beloved Japanese artists for a music fusion like no other.

On the Korean side, performers included:
Geum Jan-di, Kim Hee-jae, Park Ji-hyun, Park Gu-yoon, Son Tae-jin, Song Ga-in, Song Min-jun, Ahn Sung-hoon, Jin Sung, Choi Soo-ho, Hong Ji-yoon, and Hwang Yoon-seong.

Japanese singers Shigeru Matsuzaki and Utagokoro Rie added their J-pop flair to the mix.

💃 Live Vocals, Collab Stages, and Endless Applause

From signature hits to timeless trot classics, the show delivered top-tier vocals and energetic stages. One of the highlights? Special collaboration stages between Korean and Japanese artists that had the crowd on their feet.

The grand finale featured all performers on stage singing Cho Yong-pil's iconic "Come Back to Busan Port," a symbolic tribute to Korea-Japan friendship and unity through music.

🌏 K-Trot Goes Global?

Organized by SBS Medianet, with co-production from Star Planet and Maroo Entertainment, the concert aimed to promote Korea-Japan cultural exchange.

An SBS Medianet rep shared:

"It was meaningful to see trot and J-pop artists share the same stage. We believe this opens up more opportunities for trot singers to expand globally—just like K-pop has."
