Singer and actress Yoona is once again leading with kindness. She has donated ₩100 million KRW (approximately $74,000 USD) to support wildfire recovery efforts in Korea.
🔥 Helping wildfire victims in Gyeongsang and Ulsan
On March 28, the Community Chest of Korea (also known as Fruit of Love) announced, "Yoona has donated ₩100 million to help restore areas affected by the recent wildfires."
The donation will be used to aid recovery efforts in the Yeongnam region, including Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, where large-scale wildfires have caused major damage. The funds will go toward recovery projects and support for displaced residents.
🌟 A decade of giving: Yoona's ongoing impact
Yoona has been a consistent giver since 2010 through Fruit of Love. She became the 713th member of the Honor Society in 2015, a title given to high-value donors.
Over the years, she has contributed to a variety of causes — including COVID-19 relief, helping children with leukemia, and even participating in charity campaigns through talent donations.
A representative from Fruit of Love shared, "Yoona's warm-hearted donation brings hope and strength to neighbors suffering from wildfire damage. We're truly grateful for her continued positive influence."
🎬 Yoona's comeback in 2025
Yoona is set to return to the small screen later this year with tvN's upcoming drama Chef of the Tyrant (working title). She also stars in the upcoming film The Devil Moved In directed by Lee Sang-geun, set for release this year.
