Ji Min-seo is ready to make his mark. The rookie actor has signed an exclusive contract with Baro Entertainment, home to stars like Byun Woo-seok, and landed his first lead role in an upcoming BL drama.
🤝 New family, new drama: Welcome to Baro Entertainment
On March 28, Baro Entertainment shared, "We're thrilled to welcome Ji Min-seo, a rising talent with both youthful charm and masculine appeal."
The agency added, "He has endless potential, and we'll give him our full support as he grows into a versatile actor."
And Ji Min-seo isn't wasting any time — he's already been cast in his first major project, the upcoming OTT drama Something Went Wrong (written by Seo Ji-eun, directed by Sung Yoo-hwan).
💫 Spin-off of popular BL webtoon
The 8-episode drama is a spin-off of the hit BL webtoon Popularity Is Something Wrong. The original series followed Do Ba-woo (played by Choi Min-ho) and his one-sided love for his childhood friend Ji-hoon (played by Jung Jae-hyun).
Ji Min-seo plays Jung Ha-min, a college student who dreams of becoming a webtoon artist. His character brings emotional depth as he quietly navigates his feelings for Do Ba-woo.
🌍 Streaming worldwide in April
Something Went Wrong will premiere on April 16 via the OTT platform Heavenly in Korea. Internationally, it will be available on Rakuten Viki, and in Japan via FOD, Fuji TV's streaming service.
Ji Min-seo is already gaining attention as one of the most promising rookies of 2025 — keep an eye on this rising star.
