Park Eun-bin Draws Global Praise for Intense Role in Hyper Knife

Global media is spotlighting Park Eun-bin's powerful performance in Hyper Knife. The Disney+ medical thriller has quickly risen to the top, becoming the most-watched Korean content across Disney+'s global and Asia-Pacific platforms as of April 7.

🔪 A Psychopathic Doctor, Played to Perfection

Park Eun-bin takes on the role of Jung Se-ok, a psychopathic doctor whose chilling presence and layered emotions have captivated audiences worldwide.

In an exclusive interview with Forbes, Park opened up about the intense process behind building her character.

"As an actor, meeting new characters and exploring the depths of life through them is always fascinating," she shared.
"When reading the script, I focused on grasping the emotional core of Se-ok. I tried to understand her motivations from every angle, even studying traits of antisocial personality disorder."

She continued,

"My goal wasn't to justify Se-ok's actions, but to make her intriguing enough for viewers to want to understand her—despite how impossible that may seem."

🧠 A Complex Mentor-Student Relationship

What drew Park most to the story?

"The layered relationship between mentor and mentee was captivating," she explained.
"Their psychological tug-of-war is something we've never really seen before on screen. I was excited to portray such a unique bond."

Park expressed her gratitude toward global fans:

"I'm thankful to live in a time where people across the world can connect through the same content. I'll carry these meaningful experiences with me as I move forward."

🌍 Global Media Responds: "An Artistic Masterpiece"

International media echoed the buzz. Hollywood Insider praised the show's "tight pacing and gripping tension," while NME dubbed Hyper Knife "a genre-defying work of art."

The medical thriller follows Se-ok's twisted reunion with her former mentor Deok-hee (played by Seol Kyung-gu), leading to an intense battle of wills and buried truths.

With Park Eun-bin's chilling villain transformation, masterful direction, and compelling storyline, Hyper Knife is drawing rave reviews ahead of its finale episodes (7–8), dropping on April 9.
