Kang Ji-young, a veteran anchor and one of JTBC's most recognizable faces, is officially leaving the network.
A JTBC representative confirmed to Dispatch on April 8, saying, "Kang Ji-young will officially resign on April 11." While her next steps haven't been finalized, the network noted, "She plans to take her time exploring future opportunities."

Kang Ji-young began her career through MBC-TV's New Recruit, part of the variety program Sunday Night back in 2011. That same year, she joined JTBC through a special recruitment.
From 2022 to 2024, she served as the weekend anchor for JTBC's flagship newscast 'Newsroom', delivering trusted news coverage every weekend night.
But her talents didn't stop there—Kang also made a name for herself in variety and educational programming, appearing on Different Class, Extreme Tour, and Speak Up.
