Actor Jung Il-woo stole hearts in Japan once again. On March 30, he held a fan meeting titled "Ilwooasis – Spring, and Your Oasis" at Hitotsubashi Hall in Tokyo. It was a sweet reunion with his Japanese fandom, affectionately known as "Smile-woo."
As soon as he stepped on stage, loud cheers filled the venue. Jung Il-woo revealed that he personally came up with the event's title, showing his deep affection for fans.

The fan meeting was filled with interactive segments and thoughtful moments. From a personal photo corner where he reviewed fan-taken images, to heartfelt conversations about past events — everything was designed with the fans in mind.
Photos from his 2023 charity bazaar also made an appearance. Jung Il-woo had donated all proceeds from the event and revisited the meaning behind that day with gratitude.
🎶 A Surprise Song That Hit Everyone Right in the Feels
One of the most emotional moments? Jung Il-woo's surprise live performance of "Scarecrow", the OST from his 2011 hit drama 49 Days. Fans were visibly moved, singing along to the touching ballad.
Before the event ended, he read a handwritten letter aloud. "Being able to meet you in person, make eye contact, and share this moment—it's more precious than words can express," he said.
He closed with a promise: "I'll continue to be someone who brings you joy and happiness. Thank you for being my oasis."
