Actress Kim Min-hee (43) and filmmaker Hong Sang-soo (65) have welcomed a baby boy.
According to industry insiders on April 8, Kim recently gave birth to a son and is currently recovering at a postpartum care center in Hanam, South Korea.

The pregnancy was natural. From the early stages, Hong Sang-soo was reportedly by her side β attending prenatal checkups and offering support throughout.
In February, Kim was seen visibly pregnant while traveling to the Berlin International Film Festival with Hong. Despite her slim figure, her baby bump was clearly noticeable at the time.

There are ongoing discussions about the baby's birth registration. If registered under Hong's name, the child would be legally listed as born out of wedlock. There's also the possibility of registration under Kim Min-hee's family registry.

The couple's relationship goes back to 2015, when they met while filming Right Now, Wrong Then. In 2017, they publicly confirmed their relationship at the press conference for On the Beach at Night Alone, causing major controversy due to Hong's marital status at the time.
Hong has been married to another woman since 1985 and has a daughter. In 2016, he filed for divorce, but the case was stalled as his wife refused to accept the documents.
Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo have reportedly been living together for 9 years, collaborating on several films during that time.
