Mission accepted—again! Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise is returning to South Korea this May for his 12th visit, setting the record as the most frequent visitor among Hollywood actors. And yes, it's another mission.
✈️ 12th Visit, 6th Mission — Korea Loves Tom
On April 14, Lotte Entertainment officially announced,
"Tom Cruise will visit Korea on May 8 for the film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two (MI8)."
Cruise himself greeted Korean fans through a video, saying with his signature smile:
"The cast of Mission: Impossible and I will be returning to Seoul. I'm so excited to meet you all again!"
This marks his 6th visit related to the Mission: Impossible series, and 12th overall since first visiting in 1994 for Interview with the Vampire. 🇰🇷
🔥 Legendary Fan Service + No Stunt Doubles
Known for his genuine love for Korea, Cruise has built a loyal fanbase here thanks to his generous fan service and respectful demeanor.
In Dead Reckoning Part Two, Cruise once again performs high-stakes stunts without a double. The action-packed blockbuster follows Ethan Hunt on a new global mission—and it's rumored to be his final outing in the franchise.
🎥 MI8 Heads to Cannes + Korean Theaters in May
The film has been invited to the 78th Cannes Film Festival (non-competition section), which runs from May 13 to 24.
