Japanese group f5ve is facing backlash after posting an altered image of the late K-pop star Goo Hara.

🕊️ Disrespectful Marketing Sparks Outrage

On April 8, f5ve's official Instagram account posted a photo of Goo Hara with a coffin photoshopped next to her, accompanied by the phrase "I Don't Give A F** (IDGAF)"*.

Netizens were quick to react, calling it deeply disrespectful and accusing the group of using a deceased artist for shock marketing. The post went viral, sparking anger across Korean and international fandoms.

📉 Deleted Post, But Not Forgotten

Following the backlash, f5ve deleted the controversial image and issued an apology:

"We thank those who pointed out the inappropriate meme," the group posted.
They added that they frequently share fan-made memes, and claimed they didn't realize Goo Hara was featured in this one.

They ended the post with a public apology, saying:

"We sincerely apologize for this incident. We deeply appreciate those who explained the issue to us."
