Actor Choi Young-jun is officially heading to the big screen with his debut film role.
Distributor Showbox announced on April 18,
"Choi Young-joon will make his film debut in Soju War, playing lawyer Koo Young-mo, the head of a law firm."

Set in 1997 during the height of the IMF financial crisis, Big Deal tells the intense story of a clash between a liquor company executive and an investment firm employee fighting for control over Korea's beloved soju brand.
⚖️ Choi Young-joon as Lawyer Koo Young-mo
Choi plays Koo Young-mo, a strategic crisis manager for the fictional Gukbo Group. Calm under pressure and immune to emotional interference, he is laser-focused on delivering results with precision.
This role marks a sharp departure from Choi's previous performances. In the film's stills, he appears smart and composed—showcasing a new, cooler persona and heightening anticipation for his acting transformation.
Choi shared his thoughts on the role:
"I needed to understand Koo Young-mo more than anyone. I approached the character with the belief that what he does must appear justified."
