Wendy Signs with ASCEND After Leaving SM — Will Continue Red Velvet Activities

Wendy, the beloved main vocalist of Red Velvet, has officially signed with a new agency, ASCEND.

On April 25, ASCEND confirmed, "We're thrilled to be working with such a talented and versatile artist. We promise to fully support Wendy so she can shine even brighter."

ASCEND is currently home to popular girl group fromis_9, meaning Wendy joins a powerhouse lineup of artists.

🎤 New Chapter, Same Red Velvet Love

Although Wendy has moved agencies, her bond with Red Velvet remains rock solid.

ASCEND emphasized, "We will actively support Wendy's activities as a member of Red Velvet."

Debuting with Red Velvet in 2014, Wendy helped deliver countless iconic hits like "Happiness," "Ice Cream Cake," "Red Flavor," "Power Up," "Russian Roulette," "Psycho," "Queendom," and "Feel My Rhythm."

🌟 Solo Star Power and Musical Stage Success

Beyond group activities, Wendy has made a name for herself as a soloist.

She showcased her stunning vocals with solo tracks like "Like Water" and "Wish You Hell."

She also proved her versatility in musical theater, taking on the lead role of "I" in Rebecca in 2023.

📝 Fresh Start After 10 Years

Wendy's move follows the expiration of her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment earlier this month.

Member Yeri also concluded her contract with SM on the same day, signaling new beginnings for both artists.

Wendy's new chapter is just getting started — and fans are beyond excited to see what's next!
