K-Dramas Set to Shine at Canneseries — 'S Line' Enters Main Competition

Five Korean dramas are heading to the world stage!
K-Dramas are officially making waves at the prestigious Cannes International Series Festival (Canneseries).

🎬 'S Line' Lands in Long-Form Competition

Recently, Canneseries announced its official selections across long-form, short-form, and documentary categories.

Among them, 'S Line' — produced by Sidus — secured a spot in the Long-Form Competition, standing as the only K-Drama competing for the top prize.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, 'S Line' is a fantasy thriller that tells the story of a mysterious red line appearing over people's heads, revealing their past romantic entanglements.

While its Korean network release is still undecided, 'S Line' will make its world premiere at Canneseries, with French and English subtitles available.

The series will unfold across six gripping episodes.

✨ 4 More K-Dramas Featured in Non-Competitive Section

Four additional Korean series have been selected for the Rendez-vous (non-competitive) section:

  • 'Such an Intimate Betrayal' (written by Han Ah-young, directed by Song Yeon-hwa)
  • 'Dongyo Ghost Story' (written by Yoon Sun-hee and Park So-hee, directed by Lim Kyung-taek)
  • 'The Hunter with a Scalpel' (written by multiple writers, directed by Lee Jung-hoon)
  • 'Fairy Fasting Center' (written by Shin Kyung-yi, directed by Cho Chang-geun)

These selections will be showcased at a special screening event on April 30 (KST) at the Jean Mineur Auditorium.

Actors Nam Gyu-ri, Hong Soo-hyun, Park Joo-hyun, Ryu Seung-soo, Jo Hye-jung, and directors Lee Jung-hoon and Song Yeon-hwa are expected to attend.
