Jung Kyung-ho and So Joo-yeon are set to team up in a refreshing new courtroom drama.
⚖️ Pro Bono: A Comic Human Courtroom Drama
On April 28, tvN officially announced the casting of Jung Kyung-ho and So Joo-yeon for their upcoming drama Pro Bono (working title).
The drama follows a former hotshot judge who, against all odds, becomes a public interest lawyer.
Scripted by The Devil Judge's Moon Yoo-seok and directed by Kim Sung-yoon, Pro Bono promises both humor and heartfelt moments inside and outside the courtroom.
👔 Jung Kyung-ho as Kang Da-wit: From Top Judge to Public Defender
Jung Kyung-ho will portray Kang Da-wit, a once-famous influencer judge in the legal world.
However, after getting caught up in an unexpected incident, he loses his robe and is forced to start over as a public interest lawyer.
📚 So Joo-yeon as Park Ki-bbeum: The Ultimate Law Enthusiast
So Joo-yeon transforms into Park Ki-bbeum, a law-loving lawyer who finds healing in helping those who rely on the justice system.
Unlike Da-wit's initially cynical attitude, Ki-bbeum believes deeply in using the law for good.
Together, the duo will represent Pro Bono, a nonprofit law firm dedicated to defending the powerless while surviving without charging fees or making any profit.
🎬 Expectations Are High: Fighting for Justice, One Case at a Time
A production insider teased,
"Forget glamorous law firms — Pro Bono will showcase the tough, meaningful reality of fighting for justice in a small, dimly lit office with zero income and zero guarantees."
