Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has issued an official apology and announced a complete break from his in-laws following his father-in-law's legal troubles.

On April 29, Lee Seung-gi addressed the situation involving his wife Lee Da-in's stepfather, Lee Hong-heon, who was recently indicted on additional charges.

"I'm deeply sorry to be delivering such heavy news," Lee said in his statement.

He explained that although Lee Hong-heon had previously received a fine in a separate case, he is now facing new legal proceedings for similar offenses.

"I waited, trusting the family bond, but now I can no longer contain my profound disappointment," he confessed.
