WINNER is returning to the stage — but this time, it'll be as a trio. YG Entertainment has announced that the group will hold a solo concert in July, excluding member Song Mino, who is currently under investigation for violating military service laws.
🎤 First solo concert in 3 years — without Mino
On May 7, YG Entertainment revealed, "WINNER will hold a solo concert this July, marking their first in approximately three years and three months."
The announcement comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding member Song Mino, who was booked last December for alleged improper conduct during his mandatory public service.
Despite internal debate over whether to proceed, the company confirmed that Kang Seung-yoon, Kim Jin-woo, and Lee Seung-hoon will go forward with the concert as planned.
🧾 Mino's absence explained
YG stated, "We made the decision after much consideration. The remaining members strongly expressed their commitment to meet fans again, so the concert will go on."
Song Mino began his alternative service in March 2023 at a community center in Mapo-gu, Seoul. However, Dispatch reported that Mino allegedly misused medical leave for private activities including parties and camping trips.
Following the reports, the Military Manpower Administration requested an investigation, which is currently being carried out by Mapo Police. Mino has reportedly admitted to most of the allegations in his third round of questioning.
