"We filled the stage with our own style. We'll make sure to leave you completely wrecked." (Geonil)
For 3 hours and 30 minutes, they performed a total of 27 songs. From their full-length debut album to their sixth mini-album, they delivered a jam-packed setlist. Traversing between heavy metal and rock ballads, they unleashed their full rock spirit.
Seven months after standing on the same stage, they returned—this time more powerful. The intensity of their performance shook the floor. Their fandom, Villains, added to the energy with thunderous fan chants that doubled the heat in the venue.
Xdinary Heroes held their second world tour Beautiful Mind on May 5 at Olympic Hall in Seoul's Songpa District. Dispatch was present for the fourth and final show of the run.
Complete Immersion
The concert opened with "Beautiful Life," the title track of their sixth mini-album. From the start, the performance was overwhelming. As soon as the instruments began, the audience sprang to their feet.
A heavy riff stormed in from the beginning. The fierce heavy rock sound hit hard, while Jooyeon's sharp vocals sent chills through the crowd.
Fans fully embraced the moment—waving their lightsticks fervently, jumping in place, and headbanging. It was complete immersion in the music.
"Since this is the final show, we need you to help us complete the performance." (Gaon)
The rock spirit carried on through songs like "Symphony," "Bicycle," "Bad Chemical," "Love and Fear," and "Fight Me."
Solo performances by the members brought the excitement even higher. Their aggressive techniques on guitar and drums dominated the Olympic Hall.
Break the Break
The group's musical growth stood out. Jooyeon and Jungsu showcased their explosive high notes, while Geonil drove the energy with his intense drumming.
Things heated up further with "George the Lobster." Fans erupted in cheers. Geonil noted, "This track was ranked No. 1 in fan preferences among the songs on this album."
"SUCKER PUNCH" spotlighted Geonil's solo drumming. With just his sticks, he commanded the Villains. When he shouted, "Hey!" the audience shouted back in unison.
When "PLUTO" began, the lightsticks turned blue, creating a sea of stars in the crowd. Even without background music, fans sang along in a united chant.
There were also heartwarming moments. "Dreaming Girl," a song with a gentle melody and lyrical sentiment, offered comfort.
"It's a song that always warms our hearts, no matter when we play it. We performed it hoping Villains never feel overwhelmed and that this could be a moment of comfort." (Geonil)
Unrelenting Heat
The live energy kept going. They performed songs like "Moneyball" and "Break the Break." The collaboration track "Instead!," featuring singer Yoon Do-hyun, brought a thrilling jolt to the show.
As the end of the concert approached, the energy reached its peak. Fans headbanged passionately across the venue. The members also gave their all, fully immersed in the performance.
They returned for three rounds of encores. Xdinary Heroes actively engaged with the audience, making up for the bittersweet feeling of the final show.
They performed "Beautiful Life" once more, this time coming closer to their fans. They sprinted between the floor and the first and second levels, high-fiving fans and locking eyes with heartfelt gestures.
"I don't know why time went by so fast. When we first heard we were doing four shows, I thought it'd feel long. But now that it's over, it feels too short." (Geonil)
The Growth Continues
Since their debut, the group has consistently scaled up in venue size. In November last year, they performed three nights in a row at Olympic Hall with Live and Fall. This time, they added an extra day for a total of four shows.
"We had about three times more seats filled than our first concert. When the lights came on at the start and I saw that massive crowd, I got really emotional. I'm so happy to be in this team." (Gaon)
All seats were sold out across all performances. This marked their seventh consecutive sell-out for domestic solo concerts. The members responded with passionate stages full of gratitude.
They also made a promise to continue growing. Jungsu said, "At every future concert, we'll give you unforgettable memories—something that can inspire you to face tomorrow."
Xdinary Heroes will continue their world tour with a show in Bangkok on May 17. This summer, they're also set to perform at the massive U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago.
