On May 8, Netflix officially confirmed the production of its new film The Husbands, the latest project from director Park Gyu-tae, best known for the critically acclaimed comedy 6/45.
🕵️ Plot: Ex-Husband Meets New Husband in Wild Rescue Mission
The film is a comic action flick centered around two men—an ex-husband and a current husband—who reluctantly join forces to rescue their shared loved one from a crime syndicate.
- Jin Seon-kyu plays Chung-sik, a no-nonsense narcotics detective who's married to the job and barely leaves the station. Just after nabbing the head of a major drug cartel, he learns that his ex-wife Si-nae has been kidnapped.
- Gong Myung stars as Min-seok, a gentle, younger veterinarian and Si-nae's current husband. Driven by his love for his wife, he teams up with Chung-sik on a mission filled with danger, dysfunction—and comedy.
