Actor Kim Soo-hyun is escalating legal action in response to the explosive claims made by Garo Sero Institute's Kim Se-eui and the family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
⚖️ Gold Medalist Issues New Legal Filings
On May 9, Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist revealed that they have officially filed charges against Kim Se-eui for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), as well as the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes.
They have also filed a separate defamation complaint against Kim Sae-ron's family, adding to the ongoing ₩12 billion (~$9M USD) civil lawsuit for damages.
🎙️ False Allegations Spark Outrage
During a press conference on May 7, Kim Se-eui accused Kim Soo-hyun of:
- Engaging in a sexual relationship with Kim Sae-ron when she was in middle school
- Attempting to bribe the whistleblower with ₩4 billion (~$2.9M USD)
- Hiring two "hitmen" to assassinate the whistleblower
He further claimed that the alleged attackers were Korean and Chinese nationals who entered via JFK Airport, and that the victim was stabbed nine times in the neck in a parking lot.

"These are entirely baseless lies with zero truth. There is not even a fraction of credibility."
"Kim Se-eui is recklessly spreading falsehoods based on forged audio files and internet-sourced images. These are serious criminal acts."
They also accused Kim Se-eui of spreading lies about their legal representative, alleging that a lawyer visited another property belonging to the whistleblower.

Kim Soo-hyun's side stated,
"Given the ongoing unlawful behavior, we have acted quickly with appropriate legal measures. We will pursue all necessary steps to ensure justice is served."
