Actress Choi Myung-bin shared a heartfelt experience with audiences through her latest film The Girl Dragging a Suitcase, which was officially invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival.

In The Girl Dragging a Suitcase (dir. Yoon Sim-kyung), Choi stars as Young-seon, a girl abandoned by her adoptive parents. When she meets Soo-ah, a tennis training partner, she is welcomed into her home and slowly begins to dream of becoming part of their family.

Choi Myung-bin attended audience Q&A sessions (GV) and the Jeonju TokTok program on May 2 and 4, where she discussed her complex role and emotional preparation.
"Young-seon may have been abandoned, but she's mature and confident," Choi explained.
"She desperately longs for a real family, and that journey becomes her emotional growth."

The actress revealed her own emotional connection to the story:
"Seeing Soo-ah's life, I felt envy—but that helped me deeply immerse myself in Young-seon's character."
She also empathized with the struggles beneath Soo-ah's seemingly perfect life:
"Though Soo-ah looks like she has everything, she's also dealing with conflict and pain. That contrast gave me a more layered understanding."
