ITZY is officially coming back next month — and they're kicking it off with a movie-style teaser that's already turning heads.
🎬 A Cinematic Comeback Begins
On May 12, JYP Entertainment dropped the trailer and comeback scheduler for ITZY's new album 'Girls Will Be Girls' via the group's official SNS. The trailer feels more like a short film than a K-pop teaser — a gripping journey where the members try to bring Ryujin's frozen heart back to life.
Helmed by commercial director Yoo Kwang-goong, the video follows Ryujin, turned into an inflatable doll, as she rediscovers her heartbeat through a late-night dance with the members. It's quirky, stylish, and emotionally charged — the perfect ITZY combo.
👀 Park Jin-young Makes a Surprise Cameo
Fans were also treated to a nostalgic cameo from JYP's very own Park Jin-young. In the opening scene, he appears holding a cassette player in front of Ryujin, adding a fun twist to the already imaginative storyline.
🎧 Packed Schedule Leading Up to D-Day
The teaser also revealed a jam-packed comeback schedule. ITZY is rolling out concept photos, a full tracklist, spoiler content, and more — all leading up to their highly anticipated drop.
🔥 First Comeback in 8 Months
This marks ITZY's first comeback in about 8 months since their last mini album 'GOLD' in October. With their reputation as K-pop's ultimate performance queens, expectations are sky-high.
📅 ITZY's 'Girls Will Be Girls' will be released on June 9 at 6 PM (KST).
