🎬 ENHYPEN Teases 'DARK DESIRE' Comeback with 9-Minute Concept Cinema

ENHYPEN is officially back with a high-impact cinematic trailer for their new mini album DESIRE: UNLEASH. On May 11, the group hosted a pre-release screening event at Megabox COEX in Seoul, joined by director Park Min-soo and all seven members.

The 9-minute "concept cinema" delves deep into the desires of vampires living in 1970s Korea—a time when humans and vampires coexist. ENHYPEN portrays seven distinct characters, torn between bloodlust and humanity, offering a nuanced take on temptation, restraint, and identity.

🧛 More Mature, More Daring: Vampires Reimagined

"If our past stories explored innocent love, this one is a bolder, more mature evolution," said Sunoo. Unlike previous deep worldbuilding trailers, this short film zeroes in on key themes from the upcoming album, according to Jake.

Jay, Heeseung, Jake, and Ni-ki take on dual roles. Some characters fight their instincts, while others surrender to them. In one striking scene, Jay and Jake appear on a fictional TV talk show—an homage to Interview with the Vampire and Lucifer. "I studied Lucifer Morningstar's charisma to bring that same dark charm," Jay revealed.

💉 Blood, Lust, and Iconic Shots

Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Sunoo go all-in as vampires who fully embrace their thirst. There are intense scenes where they hunt, drink blood from wine glasses, and embody pure temptation. "We exaggerated our jawlines and neck movements to make the blood-drinking scene as sexy as possible," they confessed.

Jungwon and Sunghoon highlighted their joint intro as a favorite moment, while Heeseung and Ni-ki pointed to their mirrored dual-role scenes as a standout element. "We're like two sides of a coin," said Heeseung.

Sunoo's solo elevator scene was teased as a moment of intense immersion. "You'll know when you see it," he smiled.

🔥 From Visual Film to Full Comeback

The short film connects directly with ENHYPEN's sixth mini album, set to drop June 5. "Our title track is called 'Bad Desire,' so the theme of temptation and longing runs throughout," Heeseung noted.

Jake summed it up best: "This film has no wasted moments. Every second matters. I just want you to watch everything."

Jungwon added, "This marks the start of our comeback promotions. We've worked hard, and it shows. Please stay tuned!"
