Based on a web novel with over 10 years of serialized chapters, the story kicks off when the fictional world suddenly becomes real. Only one reader, Kim Dok-ja, knows how it ends—and now he's the only one who can change the fate of the world.
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kim Dok-ja, the lone reader who states, "I'm the only one who knows how this ends." How will he use the knowledge of a world that was never supposed to be real?
🧭 Lee Min-ho as the Fictional Hero Turned Reality
Lee Min-ho transforms into Yoo Jung-hyuk, the main character of the long-running novel. He questions, "Why has the world become like this?" Chae Soo-bin appears as Yoo Sang-ah, a former colleague of Kim Dok-ja, now thrust into the chaos with him.
As monsters invade reality, Sang-ah struggles to cope. "Do we have to fight every single day?" she asks, kicking off a survival journey no one saw coming.
🛡 A Party of Survivors—Each With a Role to Play
Shin Seung-ho joins as Lee Hyun-sung, a strong ally who's initially skeptical of Dok-ja: "How do you know all this?" But trust grows, and Hyun-sung becomes a dependable shield in battle.
Nana portrays Jung Hee-won, a fierce warrior who warns, "One is still left. He gave up being human." Ji Soo plays high schooler Lee Ji-hye, who icily declares, "Only the strong survive here." Her cold exterior hints at a tragic backstory.
Kwon Eun-sung takes on the role of Lee Gil-young, a brave young boy eager to join the fight: "I want to fight monsters too!" His bold presence adds emotional weight and surprise to the journey.
🚇 Subway Chaos and a Goblin's Deadly Game
The teaser trailer opens with Kim Dok-ja on his usual commute—until the fictional world crashes in. A goblin named Bi-hyung appears and announces, "All humans will now be assigned a scenario: Kill one or more living beings."
Chaos erupts inside the subway. Now Dok-ja must rely on his knowledge of the novel's plot and rally his team—Yoo Sang-ah, Lee Hyun-sung, Jung Hee-won, Lee Ji-hye, and Lee Gil-young—to survive.
