Suhye from rookie girl group MAIDEN is taking an indefinite break—amid serious controversy involving her agency's CEO.
🛑 Suhye Temporarily Halts Activities
On May 14, 143 Entertainment released a statement confirming Suhye's hiatus:
"Due to personal reasons, Suhye has decided to take a break from all scheduled activities," the agency said. "This decision was made to allow her to rest and eventually return in a better condition."
They added, "We ask for your continued support so Suhye can come back with a bright smile."
🎤 MAIDEN Faces Another Setback
MAIDEN debuted in September 2024 and includes former Kep1er members Mashiro and Yeseo, along with Suhye, Miyu, Serena, Nagomi, and Gaeun.
However, member Gaeun halted activities in November due to health concerns—and was officially removed from the group shortly after.
⚠️ Serious Allegations Surface
On April 29, five months after her departure, Gaeun held a press conference alleging that she had been sexually assaulted by the CEO of 143 Entertainment in October 2024.
Her legal representative, attorney Moon Hyo-jung, stated:
"This is a case involving the sexual assault of a minor under the Child and Youth Sexual Protection Act. We have officially filed criminal charges against the agency CEO."
🚨 Agency Denies Allegations, Cites Ongoing Investigation
In response, 143 Entertainment claimed:
"Many parts of the accusations are different from the truth. However, as the investigation is ongoing, we will clarify any distorted information and respond accordingly."
As legal proceedings continue, fans await updates with concern—hoping for accountability, transparency, and above all, the safety and well-being of all MAIDEN members.
