IU is bringing nostalgia back—her third remake album Kkot-Galpi 3 is officially on the way.

On May 15, EDAM Entertainment announced that IU will release Kkot-Galpi 3 on May 27 at 6 PM KST. This marks her first remake album in eight years, following Kkot-Galpi (2014) and Kkot-Galpi 2 (2017).

The Kkot-Galpi series has long been a fan favorite, known for IU's lyrical interpretations of iconic Korean songs. Past tracks include covers of Yang Hee-eun's "Autumn Morning", Sanulrim's "Meaning of You", and Kim Gun-mo's "Sleepless Rainy Night." Expectations are high for what gems will be reimagined this time.

Kkot-Galpi 3 will be IU's first release in about 1 year and 3 months since her 6th mini album The Winning. Choosing to return with a remake project speaks to her deep connection with Korea's musical legacy—and her ability to make it her own.
