In Tangeum, Lee Jae-wook plays Hongrang, the long-lost son of the most powerful merchant family in Joseon. After mysteriously disappearing as a child, he returns 12 years later—with no memory of who he once was.

Things get complicated when he crosses paths with his half-sister Jae-yi (played by Jo Bo-ah), who suspects something isn't quite right. Though they look alike and even share similar mannerisms, a web of doubt, tension—and unexpected emotions—begins to build between them.
