📺 From Fiction to Reality: Born in a Drama, Thriving in Real Life
HIGHBOYz was first introduced in the tvN K-drama Resident Playbook (written by Kim Seung-hee, directed by Lee Min-soo). The group includes characters played by:
- Kang You-seok (as Um Jae-il, a former idol)
- TXT's Yeonjun
- TXT's Soobin
The three members made a surprise appearance at the end of the May 9 episode, performing their fictional hit song That Day Will Come.
🕺 Choreography by Top K-pop Director
To bring the performance to life, all three actors learned the choreography for That Day Will Come, directed by famed choreographer Choi Young-joon. The performance video and special behind-the-scenes clips have also been filmed.
💿 Following in the Footsteps of 'Sonagi' from Lovely Runner
The hype around HIGHBOYz echoes the viral success of Sonagi by Eclipse (from Lovely Runner), which dominated Korean charts and placed #14 on Melon's 2024 Year-End Chart.
🌟 Charting in Real Life
That Day Will Come, performed by TXT, was released on May 11 and has quickly climbed the charts—ranking #36 on Melon's Top 100 and #19 on Hot 100 as of May 16.
