From lo-fi to disco✨—a new side of BTS Jin's emotional ballad

BTS's Jin is giving fans a colorful new way to experience his solo track.

🎧 Remix fever: One song, eight different moods

On May 20 at 1 PM KST, BIGHIT MUSIC officially released a remix album for Jin's Don't Say You Love Me, the title track from his second mini album Echo. The album includes eight tracks in total—ranging from the original and instrumental versions to six unique remixes: band, lo-fi, disco, synthwave, '90s pop, and future pop.

Each version brings out a new emotional layer in the heartfelt love song, adding depth and diversity to Jin's signature vocal tone.

🎸 Live band to lo-fi — all sides of Jin's voice

  • Band version: A richer, fuller sound that brings the feeling of a live concert. It amplifies the warmth already present in the original with lush instrumentation.
  • Lo-fi remix: Acoustic guitar paired with mellow beats creates a more introspective vibe. The rising intensity of the sound highlights Jin's emotional vocals even further.
  • Disco remix: Bright and funky! Retro synths and upbeat rhythms make it the perfect track to groove to.
  • Synthwave remix: Think neon lights and night drives. Bouncy drums and retro vibes transform the ballad into a dreamy, upbeat number.
  • '90s pop remix: Electronic textures and nostalgic melodies transport listeners back in time.
  • Future pop remix: Starts with a soft guitar arpeggio, then transitions into sweeping string sections, giving it a cinematic feel.

💔 A love song that speaks to healing and heartbreak

The original Don't Say You Love Me reflects Jin's tender storytelling and honesty. It's a love song that acknowledges both the comfort and pain love can bring—a heartfelt message wrapped in a gentle melody.

The track quickly gained global attention, debuting at No. 9 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart on its release day (May 16).

🎤 Jin on The Tonight Show

Jin is also set to appear on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 22, where he'll perform the song live for American audiences.
