Namgoong Min and Jeon Yeo-bin are set to deliver a poignant love story.
On May 21, the production team of SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama Our Movie (written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, directed by Lee Jung-heum) unveiled new still cuts of the main leads—Namgoong Min as Lee Jae-ha and Jeon Yeo-bin as Lee Da-eum.
🎬 From Strangers to Soulmates: Their 3-Stage Journey
The images reveal the evolving dynamic between the two leads. The pair starts out as strangers brought together by a film consultation, later reuniting at an audition. Over time, they grow emotionally closer, deepening their bond.
The key highlight is the emotional synergy between Namgoong Min and Jeon Yeo-bin. Known for their nuanced performances, both actors convey intricate emotions through subtle eye contact and gestures, creating a rich romantic tension.
📝 Their Roles: Wounds, Shadows, and Healing
Namgoong Min plays Lee Jae-ha, a once-celebrated director whose debut film was a hit—but he's long been overshadowed by his legendary filmmaker father. After years of stagnation, he's persuaded to remake his father's magnum opus, which centers on a terminally ill protagonist.
That's where Jeon Yeo-bin's character Lee Da-eum enters—she's a real-life rare disease patient and serves as inspiration for the film's heroine. Their professional collaboration slowly becomes personal, as they help each other heal through the filmmaking process.
📺 Our Movie premieres on June 13 at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
