Actor Lee Dong-wook has once again voiced his political views—this time emphasizing the importance of voting as a civic duty, even when choices seem limited.
🗳️ "I voted early" — Lee encourages participation
On June 1, Lee shared a message on fan communication platform Bubble, saying: "I voted on the first day of early voting. I have filming on the day of the main election, and early voting is easier—shorter lines too."
He added a candid message to fans who felt unsure about their choices:
"To those of you saying there's no one to vote for—I always say, voting is about preventing the worst. If there's no best option, choose the next best. If not that, then at least choose the lesser evil."
🗣️ A consistent voice in politics
Lee Dong-wook has been open about his political stance in recent years. Following the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, he wrote:
"Finally, it feels like spring. The winter was far too long."
In December, amid national unrest and emergency declarations, he publicly supported pro-impeachment rallies. "Let's stay strong. It's cold, so dress warm. Spring will come," he said, encouraging fans who attended.
