Super Junior's Kyuhyun is taking a stand. His agency has announced plans to pursue legal action in response to malicious online attacks.
⚠️ "Defamation beyond freedom of expression"
On June 4, Antenna released an official statement: "We've confirmed a growing number of actions that go beyond freedom of speech and clearly violate Kyuhyun's personal rights. We are preparing strong legal measures."
The company cited serious concerns over false rumors, insults, slander, sexual harassment, and calls to boycott his activities, which have not only affected Kyuhyun but also caused emotional distress to his fans.
🕵️ Evidence collection underway
Antenna is currently gathering evidence through tip-offs and active monitoring. They are accepting reports via email that include URLs, nicknames, IP addresses, dates, and times of malicious content.
The agency emphasized that it would "continue to protect its artists" and promised that any future defamation or rights violations against Kyuhyun or other Antenna artists would be met with firm legal action.
📺 Backlash after 'The Devil's Plan 2'
Kyuhyun recently appeared on the Netflix survival show The Devil's Plan 2, a mind game competition where influencer Jung Hyun-kyu was crowned the winner.
However, the finale sparked backlash. Some viewers accused Kyuhyun and fellow contestant Yoon So-hee of intentionally helping the winner—a claim that led to a surge of malicious comments targeting Kyuhyun.
He addressed the issue on a fan platform: "You can't fit everything into one broadcast. There were some regrets, but it is what it is. All the cast members got along very well."
