Lee Seung-chul's timeless hits are making waves once again—this time with a new generation. As more artists revisit his legendary tracks, his music is being rediscovered and celebrated across all age groups.
🎤 From IU to Kassy—Stars breathe new life into legendary tracks
IU recently chose Never Ending Story as the title track of her remake album Kkot-Galpi 3, released on May 26. Her dreamy yet delicate vocals gave the beloved ballad a fresh twist, earning praise across streaming platforms.
Singer Jo Jazz delivered a stirring rendition of West Sky on KBS-2TV's Immortal Songs 2 back in March—earning her a first-place win for the episode. Her emotional performance resonated with both older and younger viewers alike.
The TV drama world also joined the remake wave. Amateur by Mido and Falasol—originally a Lee Seung-chul classic—was featured in Hospital Playlist: One Day, which aired on tvN last month.
Singer Kassy also rearranged Are You Listening, which she performed live on Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook. The original composer Cho Young-soo participated in the new arrangement, giving the track renewed depth and sentiment.
