Musical actors Park Jun-hwi (32) and Woo Jin-young (24) have stepped down from their roles in Bare: The Musical, just three days after its premiere.
On June 5, production company Showplay officially announced a casting update through its blog, confirming that the two actors would withdraw from the production.
🎭 Sudden Exit from Dual Roles
Park Jun-hwi was playing Peter, while Woo Jin-young took on the role of Tanya. A rep from the production shared, "Due to personal reasons, Park Jun-hwi and Woo Jin-young will no longer be participating in the musical."
Park Jun-hwi has also withdrawn from another Showplay production, Nijinsky. The company once again cited "personal reasons" for his back-to-back exits.
🗣️ Speculation Over Personal Life Issues
Rumors surrounding the two actors' personal lives quickly spread online. Earlier that day, Park Jun-hwi uploaded a cryptic photo to his social media, which appeared to show a man and woman—assumed to be the two actors—sitting closely together on a couch with their heads bowed.
Another image showed what seemed to be a screenshot of a wedding preparation app, leading to speculation about his private affairs.
⏱️ Post Deleted, Accounts Vanished
The controversial post was deleted within 10 minutes but had already circulated through online communities. Park Jun-hwi has since deleted his SNS account, while Woo Jin-young has set his profile to private.
