"From Dissonance to Harmony"—QWER Opens a New Chapter with Their 3rd Mini Album

"This album marks a new page in our story." — QWER.

🎸 QWER Turns Discord into Melody

QWER returns with their 3rd mini album Even If the World's Out of Tune, I'm on Your Side, capturing their journey from discord to unity. The members wrote the lyrics themselves, turning personal struggles into a message of resilience and harmony.

"This is the first page of our story and a promise for all the unchanging moments ahead," said Magenta.

On June 9, QWER held a media showcase at Yes24 Wonderlock Hall in Seoul to celebrate their latest release.

📖 A New Chapter, a Stronger Band

This new album marks both a fresh start and the close of a chapter. "I wanted to start things beautifully, so I gave it my all," Magenta shared. "We poured so much effort into this, truly with a sense of urgency."

Chodan added, "We worked on lyrics during our travels and recorded while preparing for concerts—this album was built on less sleep and more heart."

The album features 6 tracks:

  • Holding Back Tears (title track)
  • Be Happy
  • OVERDRIVE
  • Search QWER
  • D-Day
  • Yours Sincerely

☀️ A Soundtrack for Summer, Powered by Emotion

The group crafted tracks full of summer energy. "We used rain as a keyword to express the season," said Hina. "You'll feel a refreshing, energetic band sound perfect for summertime."

QWER premiered Holding Back Tears live, showcasing both emotional subtlety and explosive band energy. Each lyric carried a message of hope—taking one more step forward even when surrounded by sadness.

Magenta shared, "It's a song everyone can relate to. I cried three times while writing the lyrics because I was reflecting on difficult times."

🎤 From Streamers to Chart-Toppers

QWER's journey hasn't been conventional. Many members are former streamers, which led to doubts about their place in the idol scene. But they didn't let that stop them.

"Some members had never done music before, while others had dreams they were chasing again," said Chodan. "It was natural to wonder if we could really do this."

Since debuting in 2023 with Discord, QWER has been on a winning streak with hits like Addicted to Thinking and My Name is Clear. Their unique identity now includes award show appearances and chart success.

"Last year, we even went to an award ceremony," said Chodan. "Those experiences are how we've become one—and that's our identity."

🎶 Turning Controversy into Confidence

At debut, QWER embraced the idea of "dissonance." Now, they're transforming it into harmony. "We expressed that beautiful journey in this album," said Magenta.

Their message is clear: effort. "We've grown as a band," said Sihyeon. "If I could score this album, I'd give it 20,000 points—not for perfection, but for our effort."

🌈 Bigger Dreams, Bolder Sound

"We want to top every chart," Magenta declared. "We want our music to be in everyone's playlist—something people trust and love."

QWER even has dreams of performing at Coachella. "You have to dream big," Magenta smiled.

As for their unique genre? Hina shared, "I saw a comment that said, 'This song is so QWER,' and it made me proud. I hope our music becomes a genre of its own—let's call it Q-pop."

Finally, Hina added, "We won't stop—we'll keep moving forward and do our best to become the nation's go-to band, always on your side."

QWER's new album Even If the World's Out of Tune, I'm on Your Side is now available on all major music platforms.
