Jin Goes Gold in Japan—'Echo' Surpasses 100K Units in Shipments

BTS's Jin has captured the hearts of Japanese listeners once again—with a shiny new certification to prove it.

🇯🇵 Japan's RIAJ Confirms: 'Echo' Is Officially Gold

On June 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced its latest Gold Disc Certifications for May. Jin's second solo mini-album 'Echo' earned a Gold certification, which is awarded to albums with over 100,000 units shipped.

This marks Jin's third RIAJ-certified release: his debut single earned Gold, and his first solo album reached Platinum (250,000+ units shipped).

💿 Charting Big: Billboard Japan & More

'Echo' continues to show strong momentum, appearing on multiple Billboard Japan Half-Year Charts:

  • #18 on the Top Download Albums
  • #20 on the Top Album Sales

BigHit Music noted, "These chart placements were achieved within just 10 days of the album's release. That alone makes it incredibly meaningful."

🌍 Global Power: Billboard 200 & UK Charts

'Echo' didn't stop in Japan. The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, making a splash on the U.S. main album chart. In the UK, it also entered the Official Top 100 Albums at #63.

🎧 Title Track on Fire

The title track "Don't Say You Love Me" is also climbing globally, hitting #2 on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global chart.

🎉 What's Next? BTS FESTA Begins

Jin and BTS will celebrate their 12th debut anniversary with the annual BTS FESTA, kicking off a 2-week event on June 13.
